Lana is an experienced professional in the fields of writing, journalism, editing, & broadcasting. With over six years of expertise in media & journalism, she has worked as a radio & TV presenter on Canadian Arab TV channels, delivering content fluently in both Arabic and English.
Her extensive background enables her to cover entertainment industries across both English & Arab markets, particularly in the Middle East and North America. She has conducted interviews and written numerous entertainment articles featuring singers, actors, directors, & other prominent figures in the industry.
Lana holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University in Toronto, where she majored in Information Technology and minored in Marketing.
Following her graduation, Lana developed a deep interest in journalism & media. To pursue this passion, she furthered her education by taking specialized courses in media & TV reporting, earning a Diploma in Journalism & receiving multiple media certifications from the Al Jazeera Media Institute.

Zainab Al-Saadi

An Iraqi Canadian arrived in Canada in 1999. Holds an advanced diploma in Business Administration from Algonquin College in 2013.
She started her path as an Arabic Instructor with OCDSB, followed by working at the financial department of the City of Ottawa, serving newcomers at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Service Organization, and volunteering with local communities to help newcomers and refugees settle down. Since 2014, Zaenab has completed several courses in a private sponsorship program funded by IRCC. Zainab has over six years of experience in sponsoring refugees through SAH, Community, and Group of Five. Zainab recently graduated from the Immigration Consultant program.
An entire successful journey of working and helping others. Zainab has been proudly part of Waterloo Newspaper since 2018. She has ambition, talent, and eagerness to provide all updated information regarding immigration and refugees.

Dr. Hassan Murabit

A professional photographer and news editor, graduated from the University of Aleppo-Syria, and worked for Syrian newspapers, she joined the Waterlootimes team upon her arrival in Canada in 2019.

Rasha Al-Masry is a Palestinian journalist living in Jerusalem, who worked for Palestine TV, Al-Arabiya TV channel, and Al-Khaleej newspaper, she joined the Waterlootimes team in 2018.
