Waterloo Times – In an effort by Jordan to revitalize the tourism movement within it and to let all parts of world know that Jordan is the destination for tourists, and to contributed in the dissemination of that via journalism and media, Ajloun National University has cooperated with Media Commission and Ministry Of Tourism and Antiquities in purpose of announcing initiative of Media and sustainable development.
The initiative focused in the presence of local, Arab and foreign mass media and press on “Switzerland of the Middle East” by launching the slogan “Ajloun Oxygen Jordan”. Journalists and mass media reporters have traveled among its wonderful tourist, medical, historical and scientific parts to promote the city and the global investment opportunities in it.
On amphitheater of Ajloun University, journalists, mass media reporters, all interested parties and academics have sat listening to announce of the initiative via governor of Ajloun governorate, Qabalan al-Sharif, and the head of board of trustees in university, Muhammad Al-Sammadi, the head of university, Feras Al-Hanandeh, the head of governorate council Omar al-Moumani and the head of Media commission Feras al-Moumani.
During his speech in the inauguration celebration, Al-Hanandah has announced launching the promotional initiative for lung of Jordan, Ajloun; with its Vegetative cover which gives oxygen in the spaces of the country. Also he has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with The International Academy of Public Health to create programs that rise to the postgraduate diploma in environmental health and applications of artificial intelligence.
According to Al-Hanandeh, agreed to establish a training center for tourist guides in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, while Al-Sharif said that the Royal honors of King Abdullah II’s to Ajloun have exceeded 30 since 2019 and are worth 140 million Jordanian dinars in several fields. Al-Sharif added that the Ajloun cable car project has taken place on a royal initiative, which achieved a development shift for the governorate, the dream has become a reality through operating tourism facilities, increasing the value of market to the lands and purchasing power, and maximizing size of visits after the number of visitors to the cable car and the ancient castle exceeded 570 thousand visitors since its operation, opening the real field for investment.
From his side, Al-Sammadi said that Ajloun has a great attention from Al-Hashemite leadership who blessed the comprehensive development plan after obtaining the approval of the Supreme Regulatory Council for 220 development cards. The cable car project has become a developmental, tourism and agricultural identity, plus a destination for Jordanians, Arabs and foreigners in order to the see components and products of Ajloun.
Bashir Al-Momani has talked about working in accordance with the royal directives on networking between the media and the governorates, and the beginning was from Ajloun, the other governorates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will follow it, to connect mass media and press reporters directly with the local community and see what was achieved in segments and the available growth and investment opportunities.
After completing the inauguration celebration, the delegations of the local, Arab and international journalist have moved to visit Our Lady of the Shrine of the Mountain in Anjara, which is one of the bright pilgrimage sites designated by the Vatican, the cultural center, compound of Youth, the Mosque, which is the oldest in Ajloun, the Ajloun Forest Reserve, the Royal Academy for Environmental protection, the King’s gifts of Huts, Souss Rason, and Mar Elias, the second site of Christian pilgrimage, site of the cable car and Al-Ajloun Castle.
During the existence of these teams, tour guides provided comprehensive explanations about the sites included in the visit and their religious, historical, touristic and developmental importance, revealing to Waterloo Times from the highest point of Ajloun cable car, that new routes will be open for this car cable, plus tourist and medical hospitals.
According to what was revealed to Waterloo Times, it is hoped to open new cable car routes in order to expand the current operating range and increase the financial revenues which come from it to advance the reality of Ajloun in special and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan generally.
In a special press release for waterloo Times, “An official source in Media commission revealed that Karak Province, with its famous Islamic shrines, its fragrant history, and its castle, will be the next step to let local and international public opinion aware about it. And to complete the approach which is made by the head of commission, Bashir Al-Momani, included media publication of the landmarks of the Jordanian Kingdom of Hashemite.
It is important to refer that the cost of travelling and hospitality has been paid by the sides which adopt the initiative which reflects a beautiful image of the signs of Jordanian Hashemite generosity.
