Lana has spent years gaining experience as a professional writer, journalist, editor, and former radio and tv presenter. Lana brings experience in media and journalism of over 6 years, formerly working as a radio and tv broadcaster on Canadian Arab tv channels, presenting in Arabic and English.
Her expert experience allows her to cover both the English and Arab entertainment industries in the Middle East and North America, interviewing and writing entertainment articles about singers, actors, and directors, etc.
Lana holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University in Toronto, majoring in IT and minoring in Marketing. After graduation, she gained an interest in Journalism and Media. To pursue this interest, she continued her studies and took courses in media and TV reporting to gain a Diploma in Journalism and gained media certificates from the Al Jazeera Media Institute.

Zainab Al-Saadi

An Iraqi Canadian arrived in Canada in 1999. Holds Advance Diploma in Business Administration from Algonquin College in 2013.
She started her path as an Arabic Instructor with OCDSB, followed by working at the financial department with the City of Ottawa, serving newcomers at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Service Organization, and volunteering with local communities to help newcomer’s refuges to settle down. Since 2014, Zaenab has completed several courses in a private sponsorship program funded by IRCC. Zainab has over six years of experience in sponsoring refugees through SAH, Community, and Group of Five. Zainab recently graduated from the Immigration Consultant program. An entire successful journey of working and helping others. Zainab is proudly part of Waterloo Newspaper since 2018. She has ambition, talent, and eagerness to provide all updated information regarding immigration and refugees.
