حققت المغنية اليونانية ألكساندرا جرافاس ( الكونترا الترا) شهرة واسعة على مستوى العالم، حيث قدمت عروضا عالمية في المسارح الكبرى في كل من ألمانيا، وبريطانبا، وبلجيكا، والنمسا،واسبانيا والسيوسد وهولندا واليونان وقبرص وتركيا. وماليزيا والولايات المتحدة وكندا. والمجر واليابان والبرازيل وتشيلي والمكسيك والصين ولبنان والامارات العربية المتحدة.
والصين، ولبنان، والإمارات العربية المتحدة.
فقد أثارت النغمة المميزة لصوتها إعجاب الجماهير وعلماء ونقاد الموسيقى والذين عبروا عن حماسهم ومشاعرهم الفياضة لأدائها المميز.
تقبع اليونان دائما في قلبها حيث تخصص دائما جزءا من برامج حفلاتها الموسيقية حول العالم لمؤلفات موسيقية يونانية. فقد شاركت الى جانب الملحن الكبير ميكيس ثيودوراكيس. في حفلاتها السمفونية في كل من المانيا وانكلترا. وكان اهم ما يميز تعاونهما هو تسجيل الاغنية السمفونية RAVEN في شعر يوغورس سيفريس. والتي تم اصدارها دوليا على قرص مضغوط (سي دي). كما صدر مؤلفها الجديد LATIN CD SONGBOOK 3 / EL AMOR ES VIDA في عام 2021 وحقق نجاحا كبيرا في المكسيك. حيث حصل على جائزة افضل قرص مضغوط لعام 2021 من مؤسسة LA RAZON .
في عام 2017 حصلت على جائزة اليونسكو (بيرايوس كي نيسون) لمساهمتها في مجال الفن .
وفي عام 2020 تم منحها جائزة المكسيك من قبل مؤسسة (فونداسيون كونكامين) كما منحت جائزة في النمسا من قبل (الجمعية اليونانية للنمسا) وكذلك في اليونان من قبل T.A.S.E.H. نظرا لمسيرتها الدولية في الفن.
ALEXANDRA GRAVAS, CONTRALTO
Alexandra was born and raised in Germany by her Greek parents, who immigrated there in the seventies. She has performed in major concert halls around the world including Germany (Alte Oper Frankfurt, Munich Philharmonie), Great Britain (Queen Elisabeth Hall, The Barbican,The Purcell Room, The Dukes Hall), Greece (Megaron Concert Hall,Olympic Stadium, Herodion Atticus, Roman Agora), Belgium (Palais des Beaux Arts), Holland (Concertgebouw), Japan (Bunka Kaikan), Vienna, Spain, Sweden, Cyprus, Turkey, China, Hungary, Italy, the USA, Malaysia, Chile, Brazil, The United Emirates, Mexico and Lebanon.
Her awards include the Greek UNESCO (ΠΕΙΡΑΙΩΣ ΚΑΙ ΝΗΣΩΝ) prize for her contribution to the ARTS in 2017, the GREEK ACTORS AND MUSICIANS UNION PRIZE in January 2019. In 2020 she received the prestigious award for her international achievements by the MEXICAN CONCAMIN Foundation, in 2022 she received the KEY of the City of CHIMALHUACAN in MEXICO and in August 2022 she was awarded at the INTERNATIONAL WORLDWIDE BOLERO FESTIVAL in MEXICO for her career.
An impressively wide repertoire is at Alexandra’s command. As a spirit wide open to every kind of good music, she lends her exquisite voice to most different styles. Her Greek roots have played a significant part in her career. The performance of Greek Contemporary composers form an essential part of her recital programs.
She has premiered works by internationally acclaimed composers like Mikis Theodorakis, Mimis Plessas, George Tsontakis, Jonnusuke Yamamoto, Demosthenes Stephanides, Francis James Brown, Dante Borsetto, Otto Freudenthal, Achim Burg and Harue Kunieda.
Her passion for Greek’s heritage of music and poetry is very dear to her heart. She belongs to the generation of Greek singers that very successfully combines the Western traditional classical singing with her Greek musical roots. No wonder she has been referred to as “Cultural Ambassador” for her country Greece.
The legendary Greek composer of “Zorbas”, Mikis Theodorakis said about her:
“Each of her interpretations is a thorough penetration into the most hidden aspects of my work.”
Her recordings incl. the symphonic work “Raven” by Mikis Theodorakis with the State Academic Cappella of St. Petersburg, conducted by the composer, OPERA by Dante Borsetto, “Hommage à C. Cavafy” and “The Dream of Icarus” conducted by Richard Williams, “Das Wort alter Steine” and “Unstete Wege” by Achim Burg, “Blind Tears” by Demosthenes Stephanides, which won the TOMOS Contemporary Music Award in the USA. So far she has released three personal albums to high acclaim:
“SONGBOOK 1/ On the wings of love”, SONGBOOK 2 #discoveries and her latest Latin SONGBOOK 3/ EL AMOR ES VIDA, which was voted by Mexico’s leading newspapers LA RAZON as “BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2021”!
